I've started a new Dudecast (that's a podcast by, for, and about Dudes).

It's about how to be a Dude of Faith. It is from a Christian perspective (because, that's my opinion, man). It's short, and it won't beat you over the head with anything.

Give it a listen, but keep in mind a few things:
It's new, so I'm still learning how to do all this electronic stuff.
It will get better, I promise.
Nobody is gonna get you down about anything.

I'm not proselytizing here, man. If you aren't a Christian, that's cool. If you are, you might find a little something that will, like, tie the two parts of your life together.

There's nothing reactionary, man. Just a dude talking about being a dude.

Well, man, it's cool. Maybe a better microphone, it's a bit messy still.
Especially the part about 1.John, where God abides in us dudes, man! Did you ever preach in church? I did, and I'm gonna use these insights, man! Well, that's it, wraps her all up.

Funny you mentioning the mic. It's one of the most Dude things I've got.

It's a working over the ear mic w/ ear bud.

Cost a whole dollar.

I thought recording in the Master closet with a $1 mic was very Dude, but, yeah, I do need a better one.

I tried dehissing the file, but it screwed up the acoustics of my voice. I know I just need more practice. Like I said, it will get better.

I already have an intro and outro, complete with The Righteous Dude's theme song (Creedence, of course). The next one will be up in a day or so. I'll post when it is.

As to giving me notes, I'll gladly take any advice on making the production better. I'm using a new netbook, but the mic is $1, the Audacity is free, as is the hosting. You can't get much less expensive, and The Mrs. Righteous Dude would freak out if I dropped too many clams, or whatever you call them, on equipment.

I definitely want your opinions on what I say. I could be wrong. But I am trying to be cool about all this and not be forceful. I know nothing of other faiths, so I can't comment on them, and am going to stay away from "The Plan of Salvation" in the dudecast. That's just too heavy, man.

The only thing that was fucked was the sound, the rest was all fun! I can't wait till you made more, man! And anyway It was understandable, right? And a good mic isn't that expensive I think. I'm curious about the in en outro!

Dude it's good. I know how difficult it is to step out and try this sort of thing.

i must say I'm a Dudeist Pagan myself. So I may  not be listening to often.

I do find this sort of thing helps you question and define how and why you feel a particular faith is important to your self, and if it helps other thats all good too

Well, Dudecast #2 will be delayed until later this week. I was going to do it last night, but the couch was beckoning. So, couch+cold beverage+The Mrs. Righteous Dude+LOST=a relaxing evening.

And, tonight, a fellow Goldwing owner down the street has invited the two of us over for meatloaf and mashed potatoes (or potatos, or whatever).

That means, probably Thursday. That's the night my special lady is making cards for coworkers (and money), and I'll have the time.

I already have 2 episodes of show notes done, and 7 or 8 more in the works. None of it heavy, all flavored with a tiny bit of Creedence.

Thanks for the input, man, and I'll let you know.
