Hey Brothers and Sisters,

Before you give me crap for having too much time on my hands, take a moment to dwell on this new word I made up:

dude-i?satt?va [ dude-i s?tva ] (plural dude-hi-satt-vas)

noun

Definition:

Dudeist deity: in Dudeism, a deity or being who has attained enlightenment and tranquility worthy of Nirvana but who remains in the human world to help others abide

[Late 19th century. < Modern English dude "one who abides" + Sanskrit sattva "being, reality"]

This is the word I modified to make dudeisattva:

bo?dhi?satt?va [ bodi s?tva ] (plural bo?dhi?satt?vas)

noun

Definition:

Buddhist deity: in Buddhism, a deity or being who has attained enlightenment worthy of nirvana but who remains in the human world to help others

[Early 19th century. < Sanskrit bodhi "perfect knowledge" + sattva "being, reality"]

Sincerely,
Gary Allison

If you will it dude, it is no dream- unless you're Vishnu. A Dudeisattva is kind of like an abiding light among the uptight.

Shikan-taza.  Zen style meditation.  Translates to "Just(!) sitting."  So, like just sit there. Can't get much more abiding than that. ;)
