...It's a 20 second video; just sayin' hi using the beer mentioned above. May as well get starting the channel over with. You can see the floor of the shed in the video. If you're gonna have an online store, you may as well have a Youtube channel.

As good a way of getting the channel started as any. Hope things work out for you.  :)

I feel like drinking an 11-year old beer, which has "no preservatives", is a bit risky

But that's just like, my opinion man

Liam_123

The year 2005 they put on the bottle is the trade mark year, not the brew year. An 11 year old beer might be skunky and gross.

I suppose things are different in Canada?

Here in the US, every product I've seen prints new labels with a fresh copyright date every year... any label that says 2005, was made in 2005

Liam_123

Yeah Canada is very different than the US. Liquor laws being one of them

Some beers, a very few, are made to be aged. For example, I have several bottles of Thomas Hardy's ale brewed in 2008 stowed away in a temperature controlled environment. It's known to age well for 20 years. I started with a full case but have pilfered here and there and given some bottles to friends. The brewery, by the way, regularly goes out of business only to be intermittently renewed. 2008 was the last year it's been brewed, to my knowledge. It's a world-class beer, though, and highly sought after, so I wouldn't be surprised if it resumes production again.

It's not in the same class, but I still have bottles of a barleywine I brewed almost two years ago. Trying to see how it ages up to five years.

There is a brewery here that puts out a special beer every so often that they specifically state is supposed to be aged but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it. I've only ever been able to snag one six pack of it because it sells out quick but the three I aged were better than the three I drank right away.

So I spent the day yesterday taking out my frustrations on some trees, cutting and splitting, only to have all that frustration come rushing back. I was driving home from my parents cabin and 10 minutes from home I had a blow out. I had a buddy bring me a spare tire to get me home.
Blown tire

All the wood I split

I have reached a profound conclusion. It is sometimes difficult to Abide without recourse to an appropriate beverage, when one has again proved the concept that purchasing eggs and transporting them home on a motorbike is not a good idea. At least without suitable precautions that is.

Scrambled eggs anyone?  ;D
