Several years ago the guy who has been my best friend for the last 40+ years moved in with his dad for a number of reasons, not the least of which was because his youngest brother had reached the age when he was beginning to get into trouble with the local police and he (my friend) was hoping to be a good influence.  Thing is, all of the bedrooms were taken, so my friend chose to move into the garage so that he could distance himself somewhat from the near-constant arguments between his brother and dad.  It was a little odd at first--walking into the garage and seeing it set up like a one-room apartment--but it didn't take long to realize it was actually a pretty cool set-up.  To this day, except for the reasons for him being there, my friend says it was a great period in his life.

Our cat does that too.  Then the dog does something to raise 'em back up again.

I've always loved a good chill cat but unfortunately my allergies make any cat encounter I have pretty undude. For now I just work with the Walter of a dog I rescued, everyday he becomes a little more Dude like. He still likes to tell every other dog he sees that they are over the line though.

Dogs are great. That's good that your dog is becoming more dude like. I had a dog at one point that was so mean to anyone and anything. He was so bad I nicknamed home little Satan he was that bad
