What ever happened to the good old America from my childhood man? The one where we said the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, sing songs like 'deck the halls with gasoline' with our friends at recess, ride our bikes around town wherever we wanted to go as long as we were home by dark, and all of that other fun innocent stuff that kids nowadays are being told is wrong  :'(

When did it become OK for our government to try and rule absolutely every aspect of our lives.

Now I don't care what party he is or what race he is but when it comes to his politics I do care.
This man and his administration have crossed the line man, they are trying to destroy the America I love, the America that I grew up in man, the America that I am proud to call my home!

While our economy is in the dumps he's wasting millions of our dollars on stupid vacations for his family,
he's letting our soldiers and citizens be killed,
he's selling guns to terrorists and mexican drug runners while trying to take guns away from honest citizens,
honest citizens which he's then secretly spying on and constantly lying to,
threatening the media and govt employees if they expose, criticize or oppose him,
forcing us to adopt his socialist healthcare but exempting him and his buddies from it,
having the IRS target and scrutinize his opponents while sneaking his brothers organization through tax exemption status,
allowing the IRS to waste millions of dollars on unnecessary conferences while hard working families struggle to pay their bills,
and countless other atrocities that i'm just too lazy to name man.

I'm well aware of the fact that all of our presidents have been involved in scandals and have done questionable if not just outright illegal and  immoral things during their times in office but this man tops them all! This man has not only crossed the line but he pissed on our rug while doing it!!! This aggression will not stand man!!!

Sorry dudes, just had to vent and get it all out, I think this is the right forum for that.

The clouds above us come together and disperse;
The breeze in the courtyard departs and returns.
Life is like that, so why not relax?
Who can keep us from celebrating?

Fuckin' eh, we are sympathizing here, dude. America, man; what the hell happened?!

Yeah, I just get all Waltered up when I think or hear about The Kenyan (even his gma said that's where he's from) and what he's doing to our country man :(

I feel soo bad that the newer generations will never know the true greatness that our proud country once stood for.

This is technically only about one part of the big issue at hand, but here's a link to an awesome youtube video of Rep Trey Gowdy from SC; his comments about it being a character and moral problem can be applied to all of The Kenyans administration, not just the IRS.

This man deserves a standing ovation, he really sums it up quite well and you can actually see him choking back the tears when he's speaking.

Not sure what the whole racial origins thing has to do about anything. Unless you're pure blood Native American, everyone else comes from outside in quite recent history - so what? For my money you're well over the racist line PD.

If you're talking about the part where I said "Now I don't care what party he is or what race he is but when it comes to his politics I do care."
It's because I've heard many people try and say that "if you don't like and support Obama it's just because you're a racist", and i'm certainly no racist.

If you're talking about the part about him being from Kenya or me calling him "The Kenyan"
It's because he's not a natural born citizen, therefore he's not eligible to even run for president, not anything against Kenyans personally :)

Not really sure which one you're referring to so I just responded both possiblities lol 8)

Nothing is fucked here, dude, nothing is fucked. If you want a great forum, which this is, you will it dude, and it is no dream. It's funny how negative thoughts are something we bring to reality ourselves. That's just like my opinion, man.

purple_drank

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how you think I'm a racist, you are very funny my good dude. I merely had a rant to get off of my chest and as such posted it in the "over the line" thread because I'm pretty sure it's the correct thread for these kinds of posts, forgive my ignorance if I'm wrong. I had an issue that was bothering me; I vented my informed opinion and frustration to get the stress off of my chest and even mentioned that fact at the end of my original post.  8)

I later responded to the replies of other dudes in an agreeable manner then mentioned and posted the link to a video about Rep Gowdy's heartfelt speech about how he and others had to furlough people and stuff due to budget cutbacks all the while the IRS was wasting millions of dollars on conferences, Bono paintings and $3,500 a night suites. A truly touching speech man, I think it will appeal to everybody regardless of political beliefs and/or affiliations :)

After that you called me a racist; in fact you said that I "crossed the racist line". While I couldn't quite figure out how you got that impression from anything that I said, I did try to explain the two theories I had as to why you would say such a vile and reprehensible thing about me. Instead of answering me and helping me to understand what you meant and where you were coming from you simply wrote off the forums as if it was their fault that you and I had a minor misunderstanding/disagreement. :(

I did all this without the use of swearing or name calling (minus the Kenyan bit, but that is a correct description of him dude) or harshly insulting anybody. I believe I accomplished this in a pretty dudely fashion (maybe I came off a little Walter-ish but hey nobody's perfect man). However this was nothing more than my informed opinion being expressed to get the weight of its stress off of my chest, maybe your opinion differs from mine, maybe you like Obama, that's fine man. You're more than welcome to your opinion, as am I. Although getting all huffy about it and insulting me doesn't seem very dude-like in my humble opinion man. :)

Whats sad is that you have to add the caveat that you're not racist because you don't like someone these days; ridiculous. ~Ramone Wolfe

Subtlefist dude, welcome to our humble beach community of dudes. Good to have you here. Bars' over there, grab an oat soda and abide, mang!

Calling him "The Kenyan" was inappropriate. You're drawing attention to his ethnic "otherness." Definitely over the line.

Say what you will about Obama (especially given the new shit which has come to light regarding surveillance), but I find it odd that so many people seem to hate him with such a fervor. I suspect it has something to do with the greater spread of info via Facebook and other Internet outlets (also the comments sections of certain news sites). How is it that the people who are up in arms over drone strikes aren't particularly incensed that we were lured into a phantasmagoric war under false pretenses by the military industrial complex, led by George W? He should be tried in the Hague. And the Patriot act set all this snooping stuff in motion! I don't think anything Obama has done even comes close to that infraction. Just my opinion, man. Although this NSA stuff has me reassessing that opinion for sure.
I'll tell you what I'm blathering about...

DigitalBuddha

I'm hoping "The Kenyan" was a reference to country, not race. There are some people who believe, or at least suspect, that Obama was born outside of US Territory (possibly Kenya), which is certainly an opinion they have a right to. If the reference is to a country, in this case, Kenya, I'm OK with it. It would be like calling Obama "The Canadian" or  "The Australian" if it was believed that he came from one of those countries.  No harm there I would say, BUT, if it was a racial slur, yup, has no place in Dudeism IMHO. A person of any so-called "race" can be a dude. Actually, I don't believe in "races;" there is only one race, the human race. Skin color has nothing to do with it. We are all human.

purple_drank

I can appreciate your response and I do apologize for my un-dudely referencing of Obama's birthplace, I do, however stand by the fact that he should not be president since he's not a natural born citizen.

Yes, I do hate him man, but like I said it's because of his policies and actions, the stuff he's doing is going to destroy our America (soon kids won't have squirt guns and nerf guns anymore).
And as I said I know that ALL the presidents have done illegal and immoral things, it just seems to me like Obama has done more of it than all of the previous presidents combined (I know that isn't exactly accurate but I think you get my drift dude), but that's just like my opinion man 8).

The Patriot Act is definitely shit man I totally agree :), and Bush never should have gone through with it! But Obama extended it instead of letting it expire (not the entire thing mind you but a good majority of it had to be extended or it would have been gone for good) then to top it off he broadened the definition of 'terrorist activity' to include non-terrorist political activities (basically so he can legally fuck with his opposition, as we've seen him doing a lot lately).

Yes DB I only called him "The Kenyan" to refer to the fact that he was born in Kenya and not America (I just today read an article about this Josh Darville guy who wanted to prove his birth certificate was legit and ended up proving it was forged using Adobe Illustrator, it's now supposed to be going before the GA Supreme Court)

I don't care about race, I have friends of all races and personally wouldn't care if somebody was a purple spotted lizard man as long as he was a cool dude, but if he was a dick I would say he was a dick but that certainly would not mean all purple spotted lizard people were dicks lol :)
