There is something else we could try. "Someone" take the test, make a copy of the questions and post them on the forum. Then we could all vote on how we each think The Dude would reply to each question!
That way, when he comes out INFJ, you all will all know I'm not cheatin'! ;D

Define late.  By whose standards are we measuring this concept of "late"?  The time I arrive is the time I'm there another enforcing a time that I wasn't as some kind of "appointment" is just messing with reality in favour of idealism, and the hope that maybe, just maybe the two might collide into some perfect union of glorious order.

Not gonna happen.  I'm on time for everything, it's just that most other people are almost always early.  That's not my fault, man.

Considering my flippantly pedantic nature, I'd better abstain from looking at the other 70-odd questions in this test... :)

By the Dudes Dude. the whole point of this exercise was to fill it out the way you felt the Dude would do it.

That's the problem with you intellectuals too much thinking about thinking.

I always arrive about 15 to 20 minutes early for stuff basically to just be prepared.  Makes things easier in the long run.

It's like...If you just put stuff off, it comes back and gives you problems later, so like...just get it out of the way so you have more time to play. or something.

i dunno. im high.
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

BikerDude

I'm never late. And I personally don't like when others are unless they offer an apology.
But then people now a days are pretty rude as a rule.
Day Mommies didn't raise em up right I guess.

I'm aware of this fact, oh wise one :)
That was me being infused with the spirit of The Dude.  If I was personally not worried about keeping time you'd have not seen me for dust on Saturday :P
Apart from the last sentance, of course, that was pure me :)

Is there some part in TBL movie that we can refer to that can shed some light on this question for The Dude?
How about arriving at Marty's show to give notes? Showing up for leagues? Going to the good and thorough doctor? Going to the Big Lebowski's when he was summoned?
Seems to me he was always on time.

See I don't remember any one actually saying anything one way or the other. He arrives but we are never told what the arranged time was and if he is within reasonable boundaries. And a lot of the time its all pretty spontaneous (ie when hes dragged into limos etc).

No one ever accuses The Dude of being late as The Dude did with Walter when he came to bowling alley 20 minutes late with the "Pomeranian"!
If The Dude had been late I believe we would have heard about it. 8)

Rent--10 days late. Just sayin'.

Thats late with a payment not late as in an appointment. I'm following a fairly pedantic line here though.

As mentioned before generally it's Walter turning up late for most things in the film.

True, but I think it's a clue to his character, in the absence of any direct evidence. I don't think he'd be worrying about that shit.

But is that not indicative of the state of his finances.

I've been there myself where you are robbing Peter to pay Paul all the time, I know I used to live from one overdraft to another from bank to bank just to be able to exist on the little money I had.
