To be honest this is exactly why my official documents are left at home And I only have the web version of my ordination certificate at work.

That's some limber thinking.  I really shouldn't leave my papers in a briefcase in the trunk of our car.

That's a good point.  Maybe causually slip in a bit about a rise in Dudeist fundamentalists, pulling peices on lanes, and whathaveyou.  Maybe they'll think twice.

"Dudist fundamentalism"
That's fucking interesting, man.  Or is it an oxymoron?   8)

They're fuckin amateurs!
The nihilist who hatched this plot has told me that he put the original ordination behind the funny stuff. Kinda just slipped it under the door ...

So he does have some recognition of the esteem and prestige I have as an ordained what-have-you. When the joke wears down I will go put the real ordination out on display, properly,  And then I will go give the Chinaman an invoice.

Actually thinking about it this is an offence under article eighteen of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted on December 10, 1948.

Quote
Article 18.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

Man they have violated your inalienably human right!

Oh, please dear!
I've got news for you: the Supreme Court has roundly rejected prior restraint and fucking around with a dude's form of id!!

See here in the UK I would have them under section Nine of the EU treaty of Human rights and can sue in UK courts.

Unfortunately I'm not very good with US Legislature, I'll have to take your word for it man.

I'm a DBA for the Natural History Museum (London, UK), but also a very prominent (as in not quiet about) practitioner of Paganism (and we get a lot of stick). Also I studied quite a bit of law and have run unions and represented groups and individuals against employers and Universities.

Ah, so you have papers.  I too dabble in IT work (software development), not in the UK of course.

Unions tend to make me upset, which causes my hair to fall out, but I'll allow as there are some nice folks in unions.

I have always worked with them as an aid to helping people (ie not get them fired, made redundant etc). I try not to get hung up on the politics of the whole thing.
