This is fucking great, I was down on the ground laughing. Fantastic!
Yeah well, that's just, ya know, like, your opinion, man.

I would say that bowling would have to be the physical expression of dudeism.

Also, I didn't think that was T'ai Chi the Dude was doing on Maude's rug.  Not any form I have seen anyways.  I looked more to me like a dakini (Hindu angelic being) inspired interpretive dance.

Fucking "A" man. I didn't knew about dakini, I'll check them out on the net.

About bowling with sufidude we found a kind of theory: the lane is life and the ball is the human being, the pins can be your goals, the end is the same (the pit?), what matters is if you roll more strikes or gutters. And this, beside a little luck and physical ability, has to do with how you play and how much efforts (?) and dedication you put in it. But anyway you have to play.
And if life is a game what matters isn't really your score but if you are satisfied with how you played.

Well, probably I've put it down in a little messy way. But I think it is a good theory.

I think that's very good theory. Just a bit of semantics I would change though: The part "...the end is the same (the pit?), what matters is if you roll more strikes or gutters."

I would say instead that it really doesn't matter whether you roll more strikes or gutters (strikes and gutters representing achievements or downfalls in your life), as long as in the end you played your best (playing your best represents staying true to yourself and others, or abiding), which you actually sort of said in the end of your post.

Anyway that's my idea, or two cents, or what have you.

greatspiritmonk

Yeah, well, this way it sounds better.  ;D

"It really doesn't matter whether you roll more strikes or gutters, as long as in the end you played your best. Practice though helps rolling more strikes."

The Dude was doing tai chi on Maude's rug while holding a caucasian.  I suppose we might notice a future trend of drunken tai chi emerging in the Church...it'd be good practice for staying careful when beverages are here, man.
Of course we do jerk off manually...could that be one of the physical expressions of our faith?
I would say that Bowling would be our preeminent physical practice.  After all, ours is a secular practice which practices as little as possible.  Bowling fits right in there

Actually, Dude Irish Monk, i thought His Dudeness was doing a Nataraja dance, the Hindu God Shiva dances the universe into being and into destruction ...

But that's just, like, my opinion.

I was going to ask you what in God's name you're blathering about, but then I followed that link you pasted in there - thats cool, some kind of yoga or something.

Don't try to deny it, Is that some sort of eastern thing?

Is this your only ID?

SpaceDog

As Eastern as Daal and Naan Bread (but not as Eastern as sushi, or vending machines bearing strange and unusual gifts).

Ummm ... Yes. What day is this?

I am the man that actually missed the side of a barn (aircraft hanger) when throwing a stone at it.

Ok Meekon, this is gettin, weirder! What were you doing near aircraft hangars?

I have an excuse.

What's yours?

Love n light my man.
Love is like a butterfly it goes where it pleases and it pleases where it goes. :)

The short answer is throwing stones (badly)

I worked for B&Q one summer and they had a hanger at Santa Pod that they used to store garden furniture in before shipping it to stores.

(OK not quite as interesting as it first appeared).
