El Duderino

As the blurb on this thread suggests, it's for people to share their own philosophies when it comes to Dudeism. I'd like to do so with my own, if you're not into the whole brevity thing...

My own philosophy on life was kinda like an epiphany. It came to me when I was watching Star Trek : The Next Generation one day about ten years ago. I'd had a few j's... well, more than a few actually, and I love TNG. But there I was, staring at Riker commanding the battle bridge against his newly-assimilated former captain, and it came to me.

At the end of the day, it's all bollocks.

For the puzzled, bollocks is an amazingly versatile British word and an explanation of it can be found here.

Not on the rug, man...

forumdude

yeah. bollocks. if the dude was british, he would have said "ah, bollocks" instead of "fuck it." as the upanishads said 4000 years ago "truth is one, the sages speak of it by many names." Same goes for bollocks.

O
I'll tell you what I'm blathering about...

DigitalBuddha

I was was thinking that the dude, if he were in fact a Brit, would say something like "ahh bugger it."

Ah yeah i understand, Bollocks is a pair of testicles or something like that.
In the parlance of my land a pair of testicles are "balls" and the bollocks are "Boludos".
Maybe Jesus Quintana knows something about this
Dime Sandra.¡¡Que ridiculo!!

DigitalBuddha

Well, certainly that's a possibility, Dude--

Turtle

i dunno, "bollocks" confuses me, i dont like using a word that means testicles in a negative way, i happen to value my testicles very highly and my johnson too, i dont need your fuckin sympathy, i need my bollocks and my johnson!

am i wrong?

bollocks does have a negative connotation, but oddly, if something is referred to as "the dogs bollocks" it means something that is really good... go figure
