According to a video interview Goodman said there was no ad libbing in TBL except for The Dude's "Human Paraquat" remark. Even all the "fucks" were scripted at just the right point and just the right amount.

The Coen brothers make a perfect script, they hire perfect actors and direct them to say said perfect script perfectly in the style to which the words were crafted.  Ad-libs are rare in Coen Country, indeed.

That depends on what "script" you are looking at. There are a few around missing a part here or there, or changing a name like this one who has Marty or Monty in the movie (the Dude's landlord) down as "Allan." ..........
