So, there I was uchi-deshi (live in student) at my Aikido dojo.  Our teacher from Japan was visiting.  70 year old dude who has been practicing Aikido since he was 18.  Total hardcore, and bot a rebel and a traditionalist.  He, one of the other students and I were sharing green tea and cookies between classes. I put milk in my tea and he flipped out.  Thought I was crazy.  For the rest of that visit, and for the next two, he would sneak milk into whatever I was drinking.  He got my beer.

It's an acquired taste, but not altogether bad.

Just sayin'.
