As a devout Taoist, Zen Buddhist, and Dudeist, I am both shocked and appalled that you dudes haven't included the wise and world renowned Zen Patriarch Bodhidharma.  This was a guy who walked all the way to China in nothing but a robe and some sandals to help spread his way more laid back ideals about Buddhism with the Chinese.  Those Indians dudes were too uptight, man.  He was fully responsible for the formation of Chan Buddhism as we know it today, if not one of the founding figures of Zen Buddhism.

He made up kung fu, man!

Truth be told, he was a scary looking dude.  Huge and massive, with a big hairy beard and scary, almost murderous looking eyes.. this seems to be the first thing everyone notices about the dude.  It was only the Japanese who thought his appearance unique and perhaps cute enough to make little dolls out of him: http://www.quirkyjapan.or.tv/images/U_ena024.gif  The reason they picked little balls is because he apparently meditated so much that his arms and legs might as well have fallen off.  Right on.

He was a wise and benevolent dude, a stern but loving teacher.  I could go on and on about this dude, he has so many good stories.. but I won't.  I'll just end my summation of him here with a few quotes from the dude himself.  Sorry that I couldn't spare the time to find better quotes, but I have a beverage here, man.

"Your mind is nirvana."

"Only one person in a million becomes enlightened without a teacher's help."

"People of this world are deluded. They're always longing for something - always, in a word, seeking. "

"And the Buddha is the person who is free: free of plans, free of cares."

He really is an obvious choice for one of the great dudes of history, dudes.  Just read any of his tales; they're wonderful.

Could we just have a blanket acceptance of any Taoist/Zen/Buddhist saints as being Dudeist (it could save a lot of time). Or perhaps just list those that aren't (easier)?

Yeah man, that does make sense, they have already been vetted by those traditions. They are master achievers at abiding, if that statement is not too condradictory.
