Sup Dudes!

I recently wrote an article on Medium sayin' why I think, in my humble opinion, that the Dude is a Cyrenaic. Now, Cyrenaicism is an ancient Greek philosophy that deserves to be much better known. It's fucking interesting, man! It's a philosophy of pleasure just like Epicureanism, except it was even more chill.

Its founder was a student of fellow Dudeist Socrates who was called Aristippus. It's likely he rolled with some Buddhists, because his central practice for achieving pleasure and happiness was literally mindfulness -- keeping your attention in the present moment.
