I must nominate the dude who made surf music possible.

Dick Dale provided nearly 70 years of surf music, inspiring thousands of other dudes and bands to let the surf sound out!

Passed at age 81 in 2018, still touring and playing the greatest surf music in the world until his passing.  The world was his place to abide, playing and spreading the music for all who loved it (including me.)
