It seems to me that the idea of a nihilist Dudeist is an oxymoron.  So why does it seem like so many Dudeists are outspoken atheists?  I've been lurking this forum for a while and this is my honest impression.  Let's discuss.

The Guro

As a alternative to most religion with of course it?s comedic aspects... It naturally attracts those opposed to other options... especially Theistic ones.

But some of us see the practical application of Dudeism with Christ😉 and have no issues abiding with other styles without bashing them. The key is the practical... not the esoteric, spiritual/supernatural sides... those have no fit with core Dudeism. It?s bit of a trigger for some who feel compelled to attack or ridicule other styles rather than dig, abide, or otherwise take it easy and just live their dudeness by example. But let?s face it... peoples experiences are valid but sometimes the baby gets thrown out with the bath water and the representatives can really bow peoples opinions even though they are not walking in the style they profess.
~ Rev/Guro Christian Dude

"Dudeism is the outward expression of how we interact with the world and the dudes we encounter... The inner way we ruminate and allow things to affect our lives and atta-dude... Abiding."

Many see religion as a poison pill in the abiding space.
It's just got way too much baggage to unpack or prop up.
Eventually it draws lines. "Across this line you will not...."
Even the false image of the hippie Jesus that people drag in here.
No matter how you cut it it's a trojan horse.
And it inevitably opens the door for a creeping religiosity.
If you had been around for a while you'd have witnessed the waves of Christian false dudeists pissing on our rug.
It gets everyone to a drawing the line in the sand type thing.
Poison pill.

For me to explain I would probably insult a bunch of guys around this joint.

Most people here achieved the first level, even me taking for a fact that there are no levels in life, just talking in a language dudes can understand.

The first level is the realization that the point of life is to live.

If the point of life is to live and no other, the professional or personal success is dumbness.

If it is a dumbness you shouldn't for one second take anything seriously, because you shouldn't be afraid in life since you know the point is living.

They just have a hard time understanding why that is the way it is, so they just believe.

Why they just believe? Because they know there life is a pile of dung if they compare to what the society say they should pursue.

They fond something a large mass worship and that is related to there life, so if the mass worship there is nothing wrong with it.

What is the second level? The second level is the realization that everything is everything, everything is energy and that's all there is.

The realization that we are all one only we can only experience one body/soul at time.

The realization you didn't came to this world, you came out of it. You are not a drop in the ocean you are the entire ocean.

This is not philosophy, this is physics.

The Dude played that role in a way someone in the 21st century would/could play, and he did it in a way we could understand.

In other words: People say: "Take it easy.", they just don't have a factual reason to understand why they are right about it.

Is that some kind of Eastern thing?
If at first you don't succeed ... Um ... Yeah. Whatever and stuff.

Modesty is the IMO the key component of Dudeism.
Certainty is it's death.
