I had an epiphany...has anyone else noticed that Maude is seen ALWAYS wearing a robe?  Coincidence?  Is Maude a high society Dude in her own right? Her attitude seems very Dude and can't be worried about shit.  I think this may be some new shit that has come to light.  Thoughts?

Never noticed but it is mind blowing.
She is the Vagina metaphor.
The Dude is the penis or rod or Johnson.
I'm not sure how any of this spells anything out except to notice that Maude is powerful while the Dude tumbles along like the tumbling tumbleweeds.
Perhaps a statement on the  demasculinization of men in modern society if you want to get all Robert Bly / Iron Johnish about it. This gets us to the little Lebowski on the way who Maude wishes to raise on her own.
Again not sure what kind of statement this makes about the family unit in the light of all this new information but it's a bummer man. That's a bummer.
