But wal, I guess I seen somethin' ever' bit as stupefyin' as ya'd see in any a those other places, and in English too, so he died as you took so many bright flowering young men, at Khe San and Lan Doc and Hill 364.

All in all, not the worst way to go.  To die after achieving perfection in something you love, not a bad thing.  But that's just, like, my opinion, man.
