The cult classic movie "CrackerJack" explains:  "This game is great, ash-tray at either ends of the pitch, and the bar has beer at 1970 prices!"

Lawn bowling (they call it Crown Green Bowling hereabouts) is brilliant! Definitely Dudely, in my opinion.

The regulars can be a range of different kinds of people, and watch out for the fussy ones that tut at you if you walk on the green a little too heavily, but a nice relaxing game to play.

Play at irregular times and you can even get away with a few oat sodas without the aforementioned tutting as well (just remember to take your empties with you ;-) ).
