What is it like. Sound like some kind of for shits and giggles thing but I stopped considering it when it mentioned actual legal stuff. I know it may be silly, possibly even undude but a little scary. Yeah I know, I'm a wimp and I accept that. I mainly got into this for the reason already mentioned. I would love to tell family & friends that yes I am indeed an ordained priest and then explain how etc.

I'm not a religious person by I like how Dudeism doesn't conflict with the major religions like Christianity (being Episcopalian by birth). So I guess what I'm trying to say is how serious is this anyway?

I think part of the point is, you can take it as seriously as you like. (Too seriously and it's not fun). Some come here after watching TBL, or the VW ad and some, from a means to escape other worldviews.

Others, (like me), are agnostics and dudeism fits their perspective well. As for ordination, it's a way of saying "this is what I think and how I see the world and if you don't like it, well, that's just like your opinion, man".

Shit, it's like that easy!?  :-\

Y'all didn't ask me anymore than "Vow to uphold Dudeism" and "This is for me, not my dog etc."

Sorry I guess I'm a real life religious official now. That's like really far out man.

Ordination is basically saying you abide and a letter of good standing says why.

How, is up to you, dude.

Once I came into my own, I just kinda realised that some of my basic philosophies were some actual cornerstones of Dudeism. Plus I was raised southern baptist ( gasp) turned agnostic or what have you, my grandfather told me when I was little that I was gonna become a preacher one day!!
