Thanks, dude The Stranger sure gets around.

Just the fact they called him "the stranger" makes me wonder if the Cohen brothers used that handle intentionally.  Wouldn't surprise me!

That might be true. Known in the Movie Industry as an "Easter Egg."

I didn't know Sam Elliott was such a prolific actor. He's one of those guys that pops up in lots of things, but never thought more of it. New shit has come to light, dudes.

Also, he did a movie called "You know my name", does that fit in here too?

Reverend Al

The funny thing is that a lot of people have seen him in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (yes, the one with Paul Newman and Robert Redford) and didn't even know it because he didn't have his trademark mustache and his voice was dubbed by another actor.

"Card Player #2".  Catchy name for a character, eh?

I don't go to church on Sunday
Don't get on my knees to pray
Don't memorize the books of the Bible
I got my own special way

The stranger's mustache definitely ties his face together; does it not?

I can't watch Westerns after Brokeback Mountain, but this movie got me interested. I highlight several periods in the westerns because classic westerns have a static pattern of the good and bad guys. I recently read some interesting information https://phdessay.com/free-essays-on/movies/ about the selection of a quality film and Western is a classic example. The main idea of the selection is a wide storyline and not a large number of characters.

I am trying to find some western comedies, as this genre brings together horses and jokes.
