I've not waded all the way through the 54 min video yet, either, but have the book. It wasn't as encompassing as I'd hoped - it certainly didn't bother to address the vast fascistic experience on the left - but I like that he's exulted in expressing provocative opinions. We need more guys/gals like that. He constantly reminds me how progressivism and libertarianism are not necessarily so dissimilar.

Absolutely. To my mind people at either extreme express the same tendencies.
The vegan, anti gun, urban libtard is every bit as full of irrational prejudice as your average redneck idiot. And they are certainly way more arrogant and annoying. But the strain of Christian zelotry that he speaks of here is beyond any other category IMO.
As impenetrable as the beliefs of political extremities may be, they are nothing in comparison with monolithic ignorance that is achieved once you mix in religion.
