So my company is filing for bankruptcy... again... Four years ago the union gave up our healthcare and yearly raises for 5 years claiming that it was going to save the company and turn it around.

But the assholes who bought the place, they were only looking to flip us to turn a profit. Just sell us off, problem is... I'm in the Waldbaums colors, but the people who own AandP wanted to sell us all as one giant group and nobody wanted the Pathmark brand. So now they've basically said "fuck it", were all shutting down and just selling off the real estate.

I saw this coming... It's just a bummer because in terms of places to work, it was pretty chill and I got along with everyone there. :(

That sux.
The way things are going soon we'll all go to one single giant national supplier of food, cloths and other sundry items and scan the microchip in our neck to pay for it all.
Sad times indeed.

The only question is whether the government will beat the corporations to it. I'm betting yes although it won't make much difference.

See I favour bar codes tattooed on everyone's forehead.

Well theres like a 50/50 chance my store won't shut. It might be sold, employees included to another company...

Which to me, would still be a bummer. Part of the reason the place has been great to work is because the people in charge were plain morons. Now if were bought, things will probably get way up tight and well probably have to wear strict uniforms.

It's about time I bail... But I really do think my store in particular will be bought. The land lord has been raising rent to kick everybody out.

I really don't for see the one big super store happening any time soon though. Hyperstores like Walmart still haven't figured out how to do it properly yet.

The government is run by the corporations.
At least until people wake up to that fact and decide to take back the government. We can't take the corporations though.
