Dudes. I got a question to put out there. A couple of years ago voters the State in which I find myself saw fit to legalize marijuana (not only for medicinal purposes, but recreational too). It's all good. It seems like something not quite right though. I hear now it's easier to get a "driving under the influence" since the guidelines aren't really set in concrete yet. Next I hear some ugly rumors that if you're partaking and you offer to share you can get busted for letting the dude next to you take a hit. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I can't really comment but I can say that I watched a documentary where a lot of the people who opposed the legalization did so because in their view it would make it more likely that you could get a driving under the influence ticket. The documentary left me feeling like it was a bit of a red herring.
Before legal you could also get the same under the influence along with possession so I'm not sure how it's not an improvement. Kid of throwing the baby out with the bath water.
I don't know.
Like it says here...

"It was previously illegal to drive under the influence of marijuana and it remains illegal," Mason Tvert, spokesperson for the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), told the Daily News.
So I'm not really sure I'd say it's easier except for the inevitable "crackdown" by cops unhappy with the new law.
I'd say you can expect that.
That is probably to blame for the increase in people being charges.

Looks like the concern is over the limit at 5 nano grams?
I'm sure a lot of people feel like the limit for alcohol is too low also.

Norml.org is a great resource for local laws. That org is on the front lines for legalization. And proud we are of all of them!

One who is a Dude must before all things keep constantly in mind...the fact that he has to take it easy.
