Tell me this, though: You are playing a no-limit, 6-8 handed, hold-em game with roughly equal stacks. You get dealt K/2 suited and bet. One player to your left and one player to your right each call. The flop comes K/9 off-suite and 8 suited. You bet and get raised.

What do you do? Or do you avoid getting in the situation? If so, where and why?

First of all, dudes I finally kinda got my shit together and joined. Sorry it took so long, but there's always stuff to do, ya know? Plus I was out of Kahlua.

So anyway, JG, I think you call, but don't put any more money in. You got kicker problems and you really wanna be 4-flushed after the flop to gamble on getting a flush.  You might bluff a flush if you get a 4th suited card.

Or you could say fuggit and get yourself a beverage.

Nervine

Alright, Belgian dude here, living and working (bartending) in Norway though.
Looking forward to reading through and catching up with this forum, whenever that will be.
Take it easy.

Dudes mrmadman and Nervine; Good to have you here, fellow dudes. Welcome to dudetopia. Grab a rug, the bars' over there. Feel free to abide.

Ynot Dude

Aloha, fellow Dudes, I've been ordained for four years now, but new to the forum. So glad to see so many like minded people gathered together, just abiding. Thank you.

Good to be here, and thanks, I know where the bar is. It's a skill I have. 8)

Huh - this editor has spellcheck? Couldn't tell it by the posts!  But that's just, uh, my opinion...

I'm too much of a slacker to use spell checker.  ;D

Hello there, thank you for letting me be part of this forum. Unfortunately I am having trouble with the system but I'm sure with conviction all will resolve in the end :D.

I look forward to taking it easy with all of you

The Daryl

Greetings all! I guess this is where I put a hello...

My name is Daryl. I'm new here.

I have been reading the Tao Te Ching for over 20 years so Dudeism is a comfortable, familiar fit (Really enjoying the Dude De Ching, btw).

Take 'er easy, all!
Abide.

Howdy. Pull up a chair and have a cool drink.

Hi dudes!
I'm a newbe... actually I've been a dudeist for about 20 years without knowing there was such thing as the dudeism, but only few days ago I've been ordained Dudeist Priest :)
I'm 40 and I'm from Italy (so I apologize in advance for my English mistakes... but anyway I know you'll take it easy about them :P).
After two years travelling around in New Zealand, now I'm back in Italy 'cos, unfortunately, white russians and smoke are not for free.... but I'm taking it easy and waiting for the job to find me :D
In the meantime, I hope I will spend the time I don't bowl or drive around reading something interesting here. I lurked around and I really think that's very likely.
Have a nice day you all!!!

Welcome, dude. Your English is really rather good. Don't sweat it.

Masked Dude

My uncle/godfather's parents were from Italy, so don't worry about your English. Unfortunately my Italian is so rusty I can only insult you and question your mother's fidelity. Which I won't do. :)

But welcome to the rug, and hope you have fun!

That sounds similar to my Spanish. I can ask where the bathroom is and cuss people out.

So, if you want to get into a fight in a Mexican bathroom, I'm your man.
