Like other people here, unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of chatting with CC for very long, but, after reading some of his posts, articles, and his 'Do No Harm' project, it was clear to me that he was a man for his time and place - a perfect example of Dudeness. My sincerest condolences go to his family, friends and anyone who had the honor of knowing him. I'm sure he will always be with you; with us all; with all that is dude. The whole world, unto which he abode, will miss him dearly. May he rest in dude peace in Dudervana.

I'm just an amature here as well and didn't get the chance to meet him. It's never good to see someone go, especially someone as dude as I'm learning he was. I will take his teachings to heart and carry on his memory as best as I can.
"Take er easy, Abide and please...do not be a dick!"

For the record; let us not forget, this was Chuck's last post. It seems to have a feeling of some final words of advice and a "goodbye and farewell" from a great dude.

the board runs in cycles...sometimes very active and sometimes really slow. I like it mellow....sort of like it is now.
There is a chat/shoutbox at the bottom of the main page, but I seldom get down that far myself.
Yeah....feedback to posts and posters was always a little bit of a problem. we do not have a FaceBook type "Like" option so we do not see too much that kind of "like" feedback....and for the most part...we are all pretty much all dudes here....and therefore pretty much lazy! ;D
Which makes almost any reply/feedback feel special.

You are welcome to chat and shoutout at the bottom of the main page dude! 8)

Every once in a while we get a paraquat who just wants to kick shie up and mess with our dudeness. Best to try and ignore anything you don't like and not let it spoil the forum for you.
They are mostly just trolls and the best way to deal with a forum troll is to ignore it.
Take er easy....abide...and do Not be a dick.
If we can do that the forum will always be a nice mellow beach community for any dude who would like to pull up a rug and chill. 8)

I barely knew him, and now never will know more.

I'd say rest in peace, but I think he'd rather be bowling.

Oh no!
This is a tragedy.
He has been  consistently engaging and bright light in our beach community.

My condolences to his family.
He will be missed deeply missed by his Dudeist compeers.
My back pegs are down.

Out here we are all his children

Another great dude lost to us, at least his suffering has ended. Hope he went out with a smile on his face knowing he could finally take it easy.
