This dude likes to play video games on his PC , and has had a long time love of a little game called "the sims" from waaaaay back in the early 2000s i have never rely wanted to go to what theyve called "the sims 2" or "the sims 3" but i got curious and had a look on steam to see how much it would cost .. and well stuff that

for $19.99 you get the sims 3 base game... which is empty to complete it you will need prety much all the DLC which in total is a whopping $449.81 and that is just not  on , this game hasent even advanced on the  sims 1 (which i still have and play) as for how i know the sims 3 is garbage without haveing bought it , i played it at a friends house... yeah thatll do totaly did that.

rant over.

I feel your pain, dude. I got suckered into Clash of Clans since it's "free" to play and I have a short attention span. They get you on the upgrades, though. Now I have to explain to the wife how I dropped about forty bucks on a free game.

Hmm, Planetside 2 gamer here, started with the first one, been playing Planetside for gee like ten years, never paid more than a few hundred a year for them. The Sony F2P model is not too bad, you can play for nothing, but you either get hooked and start to buy stuff or subscribe or you go wow this is crazy and run away. But you never have to pay to find out if you want to pay.

Now I am looking at Star Citizen, that is going to be expensive, very expensive, but amazing, and looks like it will deliver the goods and be worth it. Tried Star Trek Online, that got pricey and w2as sort of a let down, maybe it is better now, but meh.

Point is video game development can be expensive, sometimes it is worth it and sometimes it is a scam, today most of the free 2 play models are a joke, but there are some games that really do cost a lot to make and deserve the support of their community. I can not say where Sims fall in here, buyer beware.

I haven't playing in quite some time.
I have lost a lot of hours playing online games. Mostly the Original Quake.
That dates me.
Good dark sense of humor and a soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails.
I still think it's the best multiplayer shooter ever. Some say the best game ever.
I'd concur for multiplayer..
