Just trying to gauge interest... Would anyone be seriously interested in getting a ring like this? It's gold-plated brass. While not expensive, it's not exactly cheap. (Not my fault, mind you. The raw materials aren't cheap, and of course I'd like to make a couple dollars.)

The render doesn't show the full effect, but it's close.

A definite achievement in dude fashion, dude.  8)

Latest offering from The Limber Mind, The Dude's White Russian Glass. Got a custom order from a cool Dude in Australia, and now it is up for sale at my Etsy store. It can cost this starving artist dude a few clams to develop a new design, so when custom orders come in that can cover those costs and let me offer something new, while still giving Marty the rent.

They come in sets of 2, 4 and 6. Use coupon code DUDES to take 10% off dudes.

Dude, can those holy Graal be purposed in France?
Is your name Tim? 'cause my favorite color is blue, and I seek your WR dudelicated glasses (tell me you get the reference  ;) ).

Well, I have been called a wizard before, and I do love explosions. But the name is Gary, can I interest you in an oatsoda?

They can, thing is the shipping is rather pricey, as I haven't yet packaged these I am not sure what shipping weight would be yet. But it would probably be more than the glass itself. Careful, I may talk you out of it. But yeah dudes, any European Dudes interested, I'd be happy to figure it out, just PM me with an address and I can pull those threads.

And if there are any

Nice glassware, definitely not over priced.

All the stuff we make for sale sits in dark enclosures and allows other people to goof off while it works.  Doesn't look interesting by itself.  :)   My wife and I behind the scenes at one of our customers:

Okay, Ebay has an international shipping option, so The Limber Mind is now available for the rest of the world.

Still building ebay site, but here's a link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251404487861

Masked Dude

Hey, revgms, is that painted or etched? I'm getting into glass etching but don't want to step on any toes.

Technically it is called sand carving (sandblasting), etching is using acid to burn the design in, then there are the rotary engravings, stone wheel, copper wheel and newer dremmel type. Those I do, I haven't done any glass painting in years.

I should put my bio up some where, I did my glass engraving apprenticeship under my father at Pairpoint Crystal 95-02, dad taught me all my life, he was the lead glass engraver there for a while, before I was. I've got about 15 years of cutting glass under my belt, not my only skilled career, but my favorite.

My guess is that you are trying out rotary stylus, like a dremmel or acid etching, that's cool bro, there's plenty of room for more glass art. Plus Most of my stuff is sand carving, a little pricey to get into, and I can make the same design by the thousands pretty quick if I had to. Now, European glass engravers, that's who you have to watch out for, I could tell stories. They get a little touchy when folks mess with their craft, LOL. Worked with one crazy Scotsman glass blower, he'd cut you if he caught you stealing  his techniques.

Masked Dude

I had heard of most of those, so thanks! I have a Dremel, so I thought about that, too.

I'm still looking at different options and techniques.

Oh, just starting the Ebay thang, still debugging it. I will fix link.

This is also the start of me working with No Kid Hungry, 10% of Ebay sales revenue goes to them.

Rev. Gary (revgms)

Okay, this bums me out that it is so expensive for shipping. So with that in mind I'm willing to hook up my forum buddies with these at near cost, $30 for a set of 4 The Dude's White Russian Glass, plus $60 for shipping (best deal I have found so far, any international shipping expert Dudes out there?), total $90 US.

I have updated Etsy with international rates, but email/pm me if any of you Dudes want anything, I will always give the best deal I can to as many as I can here on the forum. thelimbermind@aol.com

Things I've found about international shipping:

USPS asks the fewest questions, the customs form is super simple.  Under $400 and you don't need any more than a 1 line description.

USPS International Priority Mail flat rate boxes are great if you can get stuff to fit.  No tracking!  Just hope it gets there.

If the customer is buying a high $ item like our $325 lighting controls, Express Mail International is the cheapest with full tracking.  Gets it to the other country quickly, something like 3-4 days from here to delivered in Australia.

For incoming packages at least from China, their subsidized post is free to very cheap.  For $$ stuff I use FedEx Express, for some reason they're way cheaper than DHL or UPS.  This is from mainland China to California, I just placed an order yesterday for some custom stuff and FedEx was $26 while DHL and UPS were around $40.  FedEx delivers in a few days from shipment.

Rev. Gary (revgms)

Yeah, went with USPS flat rate, most items will fit in the box. And a bigger box (2 or more items) is $80.
