Cool, I've heard they've already adapted the mars rover videos so people can wear Oculus Rift headsets and feel like they are walking on mars itself. I can see dudes in the future taking virtual reality tours of the asteroids or whatever they prefer.

I would LOVE that! ;D
I'm too old to be able to go myself....at least not with transportation we got today....maybe if we get a Space Elevator....maybe.
I was able to see the rocket ascend live through binoculars from my place in North Eastern Pennsylvania. It was a lot brighter than I thought it would be, but unfortunately most of the flight was behind a clump of trees. I did get to see it as a point of light flying due East though until it once again went behind another line of trees....yeah, I got a Lot of trees up here. 8)

Night launches are really cool to see. I saw the Space Shuttle go up a few years ago at 4 am, was awesome to see in person!

The Oculus Rift hasn't even come on the market yet and everyone is going nuts with the possibilities cheap quality VR headsets will mean. It will be years before they even work out all the motion sensor technologies and everything to something approaching perfection, but the results are already so good its blowing everyone's mind and people are already selling equipment like Omni-directional tread mills to go with the technology.
