Dudes,

I had an idea today that I thought I'd run by the congregation:

You know the Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbooks that were big a few years ago? They'd tell you what to do when you encounter some situation you might not know how to handle. I can imagine a Dudeist version of that, where we take every day annoyances (and perhaps more out of the ordinary ones, too) and offer some practical advice on how to handle it in the most relaxed way possible. The goal would be not to give some general advice like "take it easy" (well, that could be part of it), but to provide some actual steps a person could take toward solving the problem in a deeply casual way. It might be a good topic on these boards, but it could also be a follow up to the Abide Guide. What do you Dudes think?

The clouds above us come together and disperse;
The breeze in the courtyard departs and returns.
Life is like that, so why not relax?
Who can keep us from celebrating?

I like that idea, but I'm a noob who loves handbooks and guides.
I still have my "How to Do Just About Anything" book from Reader's Digest - wouldn't let the ex have that one just in case I wanted to know how to play roulette, make deviled eggs, hang a ceiling fan (have hung several thanks to the book), tie some flies etc. A section on relationships, marriage and divorce would have been helpful but it was not in that book, guess that would be covered in a survival guide or How To Do Anything book, damn didn't notice that "just" when I bought it. :)

On my noobdude opinion, if it comes to settle an issue dudeisticaly, I think the Abide Guide and Dude de Ching already fulfill this purpose.
What exactly would it be about?
I'm the Dothradude, Dude.

A good idea would be to outline scenarios when it's okay to unleash one's innerwalter, as well as when to be Dude.

I think it's a really awesome idea, like what to do when working in retail!! 😐
