In Johannesburg the Muslim Lawyers Association is looking to arrest & prosecute him for war crimes if he goes there. I highly doubt it'll work but here's to hope. Perhaps that's what all the extra security this time is for

Long time ago I read the Bear and the Dragon by Tom Clancy.  Chinese hijackers take some planes and crash them into the capitol building during the presidents inauguration (This is pre-9/11 mind you)

Jack Ryan (the guy Harrison Ford played in the movies based on the Clancy Books) has to rebuild the entire government.  Still has elections, but the people who are eligible for election are called up in the same way Jury Duty is selected, under the thought they'll do what they have to while in office and not worry about re-election and what promises have to be kept to lobbyists.

For a long time I thought the system too simplistic and all the issues that could be brought up due to it.

Guess as I get older and more cynical about things I thin...  fuck it, better then what we got.

Also, I think there needs to be a constant direct civilian overview of everything that goes on in the White House, a civilian overview board with the power to veto many of the abuses of funds like Obama 102 million dollar tax payer funded vacation; something like the WHCOB (White House Civilian Overview Board; pronounced "Why-Cob") -  WHCOB has denied you the funds for your vacation; sorry, not going to happen, the country can't afford it. You don't like it, Mr. President? Tough shit, those are the rules, crybaby. Try and get some work done today and not spend all day golfing and shootin' the shit with your useless cronies.
