So dudes, I was thinking (which makes my head ache), there are locations that each dude would feel is his or her best dude-like environment; a beach pad, your favorite bowling alley, a family restaurant, your private residence or what-have-you. So what is your most dude-like hangout or locale?

;D One of mine would be............

Zen Dog

You'll find me at the beach bar just out of shot.
If you believe you can tell me what to think.
I believe I can tell you where to go.

There's a local nature preserve run as part of the environmental sciences department at a small independent college that has a gorgeous waterfall.  It has a nice little bench that's just close enough to get a fine mist on your face which is great after a hot day hiking.  Add in a nice beverage in my camper's flask, and I'm in nirvana.

I just finally got around to registering... first post!

I get to live in my dude place, on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies in a dinky little isolated town in a mountain valley. It's not one of the cool towns, really, being populated by ranchers, miners, and imported energy extraction workers, all ultra-squares, but the community accepts the wife and me just fine. As one would expect, given our abiding ways. Everyone in town believes the place to be unwelcoming of strangers, which around here is defined as "your grandparents weren't born here", and that means that everyone in town gets to feel special for accepting us as we are and we get to feel special because everyone does.

The human world might not make any kind of sense at all, but it's good when the sense it doesn't make is peaceful.   :)
I'm just gone, man, totally fucking gone.

Yo, RighteousDude, good to have you here, mang. Feel free to grab a rug and abide, dude. Welcome to our beach community!
