Only the most complete version of a book made into film (we can only hope).

If you look at Lord of the Rings, so much was cut out of the story in order to make the film (Tom Bombadil, etc).

All we can hope is they haven't added a load of other shite that they feel will "make it a better movie" (like the warg riders attacking the Rohin).

Good points M dude; the books have plenty of great scenes in them, I see no reason to have to add or change anything. But, that's Hollywood.

Actually, Randal Wallace (direct descendant of William Wallace, author of Braveheart) who said that the truth should never get in the way of a good story. Not that the Hobbit is a true story, but you get my drift.
