Masked Dude

I'm probably showing my age on this one, but I think "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is very dude.

Think about it:

  • Getting your shut-in best friend to get up and enjoy himself
  • Trusting your girlfriend to hang out with said best friend
  • Doing non-destructive things because they're just so damn fun
  • Feeling bad if your friend fucks up, but then understanding when he's fine
  • Carpe diem. He carped that diem all over the damn place.

Anyone agree?
* Carpe diem all over the damn place *

You may be thinking of "Risky Business" with its "Sometimes you just gotta say fuck it, y'know?" (or something similar).

Here are some good quotes from FBDO:
Ferris

  • Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
  • The question isn't "what are we going to do," the question is "what aren't we going to do?"
  • A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself.A: You can never go too far.
B: If I'm gonna get busted, it is *not* gonna be by a guy like *that*.
  • [Y]ou can't respect somebody who kisses your ass.
  • Do you have a kiss for Daddy? (Sorry, makes me laugh)

Sloane

  • Sooner or later, everyone goes to the zoo.

* Carpe diem all over the damn place *

Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people.
