Just wondering how many Dudes here Mediate?
How does it help you take it easy in this human comedy we call life?

Depends on what you mean by "Mediate." If I bowl, I Mediate.

Humble Hands

I meditate daily. I sit outside my house for 20 minutes every morning and try to melt into the day. Some days it's strikes, other days it's gutters. Whichever it winds up being, I just try to go with it. Take it easy.

I stare blankly quite often.
Does that count?

I meditate daily, but I also stare blankly...daily.  My life moves at a deliberately slow, calm and simple pace, so my meditation energy, or vibe, bleeds into my daily-task vibe.  As soon as I start to get worked up about something, I pull it back, let go a little and realize it's all transitory, it's all passing through us and we are passing through it.  Stony? A bit, but I'm happy, daily.

Cheers.

I just got into that meditation stuff, and I'm diggin' it, man.

Had a nurse trainee take my blood pressure three times before she could hear it, so it was like 146/100 according to her.  I meditated during this to get over the uncomfortable feeling from the cuff being too tight, redid the BP and it was 126/84.

Whether it was the second nurse or the medication, I'll never know, but I'd like to think the latter played a big part. ;)

I love meditation, and have done a lot of it in the past, but not so much of late - my life is pretty dude right now... the valleys aren't nearly as deep as they used to be, and I say "Fuck it" a lot more than I used to. I think my meditation of late is getting lost in my flight simulator adventures.

Actually, I think anything that's fun and makes you say "Wow, where did the time go?" is a kind of meditation.
