i know it sounds weird given his reputation and all but well watching a old copy of a show staring Bill Maher  that was a forum set up he was a guest and in response to his acts of ripping pages put of the bible and wiping his A** with a American flag on stage he said and i quote

I don't particularly like his music but what he's said has always been very thoughtful. So, yeah, I support the notion of nominating him at least as a small dude

I'm open to anyone being nominated as a great dude in history, no matter what the cover looks like, but I'm not sure that Marilyn Manson has reached the point to being a GREAT Dude in history. I'm neutral on this one and just thinking it over, dude. And as always; that's just like my opinion man.

I'm with Caesar dude. Mr. Manson does not fit the duder ethos. Think of how he pushes his shit onto other people. Very undude. I call it rug pissing.

Somehow I can't picture the Dude singing... - quote - "Nigger, Rock & roll nigger, I'm a rock & roll nigger."  or - quote - "I can't stand when you're fooling around, If I can't have you, no one will. I don't care if you don't want me..."

I respect his stance against conformity and his willingness to piss off all the right people.

Alice Cooper is more of a showman. I've seen him on several talk shows and he even had a Radio show over here... the guy seems to have a great sense of humour and doesn't take himself too seriously.

Not a "great" dude perhaps....but quite possibly a dude.

Yeah this is in my Dudely opinion but I'm not seeing him being cool about anything much to be fair.

I'm not judging this particular book by it's cover Rev Purdy....but by it's fucking awful content! Nothing between the pages or reading between the lines gives me any cause to believe other than the guy is a total reactionary... a nihilist of the first degree.
