I nominate Eugene Polley for the position of "honorary dude." He is the inventor of the TV remote. My reason is simple; one of the basic tenants of Dudeism is slacking. Am I wrong? The TV remote has promoted slacking in front the TV for years and Eugene Polley's contribution to TV slacking is, to me, obvious.

So, therefore I offer his legacy of the TV remote as proof of his contribution to Dudeism and recommend that he be remembered for a valued addition to Dudeism that really tied the TV room together. I think we need to honor people who contribute to worldwide Dudeism. I mean think of the hours you have personally slacked in front of the tube with your remote control!

Am I wrong or just an asshole? Can I get a witness brother and sister dudes?

Pioneer of couch slacking, I suppose this dude fits the mold in his own way. Eugene Polley is dude.
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

I saw this on the BBC yesterday, i think we should have an official day of mourning.
