Losing your Rug

Right, been a dudeist for a while now, and there's one thing I'm still confused about.
Tenet #8 in the abide guide is to be Dude to everyone you meet, and I get that.
But what if someone is a fucking fascist? What if they cross your line, and piss on your rug?
Do you still just carry on being Dude if they just keep on pissin' all over that nice rug of yours? There's only so far donning sunglasses and saying 'fuck it' can go.
Is flipping out and telling them to fuck off undude? What else can we do?

Easier is just stop trying to apply the book as gospel and get on with life generally.

The Abide guide is a signpost, a set of directions, it's the old finger and the moon syndrome again. Don't think of the abide guide as a "must do". Try to understand it as a "try this and see if it fits". We are not prescriptive, you do not have to do anything, in fact the opposite is more true, relax, recline, and go with the flow.
