hey, whats peoples opinions on how difficult it is to live like the dude in this day and age???... i find it hard as to survive you have to keep up with the 100mph way of life these days to get anywhere!!... any tips?

You're not alone, man.  We all gotta feed the monkey...  Y'know?  Sometimes life is strikes & gutters and ups and downs. But at the same time we mustn't lose sight of what is really important.  My special lady, family, beloved friends and compeers make it all worthwhile to me.  Passing the evening with a drink (or twelve), a friend and some D&D is my idea of paradise. 

I find it hard sometimes to separate what I really need from what society tells me I need.  They're quite good at pulling the wool over our eyes when we let them.

When I am able to truly keep my eyes on the prize, I feel very Dudelike indeed.

But that's just like, my opinion, man.

Well, dude, a lotta ins a and lotta outs in the ole duder's life, as I'm sure it is for everyone else, but for me; I recommend an intense program of dude-like slacking, driving around, bowling, In and Out Burgers, oat sodas and zesty coitus to keep my mind limber to live the whole dude thing.
