BikerDude

I'm not married to any one title.
Lately I've been fond of "Captain". Sort of in the Thurston Howell the 3'rd sense.

"Oh captain, my captain" ;-)

I go for dude as well. It's a handle anyone can ... handle, without overt religious overtones

Before I got ordained they used to call me Counselor. Long before I found Dudeism I was INFJ Counselor...and before I knew I was INFJ Counselor they called me Counselor at work. Not really sure why...just the way I am I guess.

the d

D (nickname that stuck, (richard- dick- D)),  is my prefered nomenclature, but man or dude I can abide.

Caesar dude

You're the D Dude. Nice to meet you welcome to the boards....must have missed you somewhere down the line.

Peace man

Reverend Al

Y'know, I've been pondering this myself ever since I got ordained.  "Dude" would seem an obvious choice, but I think I'd have to earn that title before I would self apply it and I'm not sure I'm there yet (but I'm trying).  So, in abidance with such notables as the aforementioned Reverend Jim and The Reverend Horton Heat...well, you can figure it out from there.   ;)

Don't get on my knees to pray
Don't memorize the books of the Bible

'priest' feels pretentious and 'dude' feels not quite self-explaining enough so when i am asked i stick with 'ordained dudeist minister' for i DO minister dudeist energy all day long, and it ain't even exhausting. there is nothing even to say about it, i just smile a lot and go about my business and try not to fuck with anyone.

Grizzle

When I'm talking about Dudeism, I say that I am a Dudeist priest. I like the sound of it. When friends refer to me, if it's not just "Grizzle" it's usually "Reverend Grizzle" or "the Reverend".

So I guess you could say that if indirectly, I prefer Dudeist priest, and if directly, then Reverend.

Rev. Ed C

Priest is fine, but cleric gets to the nub of the matter.  I guess it's a tossup between new D&D or oldschool ;)

Although I'd prefer to just suffer "Ed" as my handle :P

At least I'm housebroken.

WabiSabi

Well the implied unofficial official title seems to priest on the ordination page and "officially" I'd call myself a Priest of The Church of the Latter Day Dude I guess ... but I'm toying with Bishop too.

But then you're toying with Christian Heirarchy....or mayhap elevating your position....but hey..your roll dude.

Peace.

It's just that if I use priest then the traditional salutation is "Father" and that doesn't work for me ... BUT the traditional salutation to a bishop is "your holiness" or "your eminence" ... and I really dig "your eminence" ... so there's a big plus there for me  ;D

In addition the way I get that Dudeism rolls kinda makes it just fine to elevate ... hey, there's a whole lot of getting higher going on in Dudeism overall ... so it's like I'm in good company ... in my mind.

Also, one of my favorite oat sodas is "Bishop's Finger" ... and those fine buxom special ladies who poor them in the ads ...

PS - I'm so over the whole Christian thing myself ... I've been gnostic for so long I've gone agnostic ... besides I was thinking more Chess than Christian myself, you know standing along side the Queen as her escort and all that ...

Sir, I salute you greatly!  A fine Kentish ale, and my father's holy tipple, none-the-less!  I bow to a man of such fine taste :D

i just realized that what i actually DO say is ...

" i am, in fact, an 'ordained dude'."

this is usually brought up when i fall into 'dude' conversations when someone comments on my walter dashboard figure, or my dogs name( lebowski) or my 'the dude abides' car license plate frame.

then i send them to the website, if i sense potential dudliness,( which i usually do).
