Recently I decided to make my way through ALL of the seasons of Top Gear. In series 1 they have a competition to find Britain's fastest faith. I was wondering if any of you U.K, dudes have tried to get in on that?

I don't really watch top gear because Jeremy Clarkson annoys me intensely, and seeing as I spend so much of my time shouting at the TV anyway, I tend to avoid him whenever I can. I don't mind the other two.

Clarkson (althugh I think most of it as a TV persona he plays up for camera) is an arse.  He's a total undude who thinks animals are there for him to shoot and eat and other people are there to have unworthy opinion for him to deride.

That said, James May is an uberdude.  James May's Toy Stories is a GREAT series, and even though I don't drink wine, I love the series he did with Oz Clarke on their wine adventures.

But to answer your question... I have no idea, I don't like carsm I a two-footed pedestrian... the wheel is the tool of Shaitan! :)

Not a UK dude, but I dig TG, my kid was obsessed with that show. I think it is outrageously funny and the kind f TV you don't get from the states. No American producer is going to let his stars launch a car off a cliff and shoot missiles at it. The only bummer is when they drive through the south and see our inbred rednecks up close, I was embarrassed for my country.

We'd have the same feeling if you took a film crew to some of our less well off areas in the UK.

Indeed. I suppose there is much undudeness to go around.

But he is a twitcher if that's the right word. Likes looking at birds through binoculars. I suspect for all the rubbish that comes out his mouth he is a bit of a closet naturist. Even has a sheep farm apparently

Yes it's difficult being perfect examples of enlightened beings amongst the un-dude.

He has a farm but isn't he one of those gentleman farmers where someone else actually does all the work. ;D

To be fair, he does do all of the fox-shooting, which is like work, if you're a vile upper-class prick, or a grumpy sadistic farmer.  Alas, Clarkson is neither, which just makes him a grumpy sadistic prick :P

I think you meant naturalist.I couldn't see him with his kit off.
He lives in the Cotswolds and was obliged to use the train recently.
He was quite rude to the staff apparently.
Pity he wasn't on my train,I'd have enjoyed the repartee.
As for the drive through Alabama,I was dissapointed by the outcome.
No one shot him.
If you believe you can tell me what to think.
I believe I can tell you where to go.

A.B. Dude

I've watched some Top Gear and generally I've enjoyed the show, but that's probably because I enjoy seeing British people being smarmy. Also the guest stars are sometimes very interesting.

There was an episode where they raced on bobsled and truck across the North Pole that was pretty good.

It's all scripted you know.
