Now these guys are all dudes. These guys are super-talented and driven musicians, but somehow always found the time just to chill out and live it up. These guys are all super- cool,ultra-nice, and fuckin' hilarious dudes. They are also real iconoclasts and mavericks. These men ARE the very essence of being a dude. Just look at them if you don't believe me. Plus, they've written some mind-bending stuff,man.They also seem like great dudes to smoke a J with.

i saw them in a tiny little place once, up the northern california coast... hmmm late 1993/early 1994 maybe... can't remember the name of the club, but it only fit about 50 people inside. great little show, and tight... when i saw them again several years later, the charm was lost for me, as it was a large, concert-type venue, and not nearly as good musically. it was like they had gotten too popular, and moved away from what it was i liked about them. ah, well...

i lived in austin texas for like, i dunno, 17 years or so back in the 90's i think and they were all over that town. tons of fans there.
