Damn, I couldn't find any references to it, so we'll just have to do this all anecdotal-like.

So, yeah, Keith is too cool for any of us.  I don't know that this is exactly evidence of that (not that any additional evidence is really necessary) but, I think it speaks to the sort of overwhelming cooler-than-you-ness that must just flow out of a guy like Richards.

Anyway, there was apparently a concert tour the Stones did with Slash And Some Other Guys Who Aren't As Cool As Slash (aka Guns 'n Roses) and for some portion of the tour they had Living Colour (I think they spell it like the Brits) opening.

So, some Riki Rachtman type douche (probably Riki Rachtman) was interviewing the inimitable (imitation requires comprehension) Mr. Richards, and he kept trying to get Keith to talk about how awesome it was to tour with GNR, 'cause they were the hot ticket at the time, and Rachtman was friends with Axl Rose or something.

Richards? Way too awesome to be lead through an interview, The Keith instead talked about how fantastic a guitarist Vernon Reid from Living Colour is and how he's just a tremendous musician, a born talent, etc.

Love it.
