I have to admit that I used to have a thing for big macs. Maybe twice a year I will have one or two, and be set until the next time. That is the only reason I will stop at a Mcd's now. If you are looking for a fast food hamburger, there are so many better choices out there.

I remember as a kid liking McDs just as much as any other kid, but as I got older, so did my taste buds. Most things on their menu tend to be pretty bland, relatively tasteless, easy to make cheap crap. Their fries used to be incredible, back before they changed everything to make them "healthier".

In-n-Out is my current favorite for when I need a quick burger fix.

Here is an interesting article about the proliferation of McDs in the US.

that's amazing. it's sad that i can actually believe it only takes two hours to get to the nearest mcdonalds in the furtherest corner reaches of the American wilderness.

now my only wonder is where in the US is the most condensed location of multiple mceedees. I remember driving through a town in texas years ago where they were everywhere.
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

I must admit, I used to really like their regular hamburgers back when they first opened and were $0.15 each. They tasted like real burgers way back then. 8)

Uncalled aggression? If there's any company that's as undudely as any other, it's McDonald's. The Fascists and Nihilists over in Oak Brook control the proletariat like they're a bunch of animals looking to make a gigantic profit off of their hard work and suffering while handing them a minimum wage that falls way below the standard of living in America, and probably the world as well (especially in countries where labor laws don't apply like they do in the US). The aggression against McDonald's is completely deserved, man. It's like what Lenin truly said- "Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave owners."

But hey, you know, that's just like, my opinion, man.

Walmart & McDonald's: the corporate Anti-Dudes of the world . Besides "Supersize Me" , another flick worth watching is "Fast Food Nation" where you learn what they are putting in this garbage. Walmart will buy a a product to sell from a manufacturer and specify they use cheaper parts , then alter the model number by one friggin' digit . You think you are buying that fine fishing rod you were lusting after in the more expensive sporting goods store but the one you bought at Walmart has cheap plastic gears in it instead of metal gears . It will not last nearly as long when used. The corporate unDudes don't care as long as you are forking over the almighty dollar just like McDonald's doesn't care if their hamburgers don't decompose in 28 days and are killing you slowly. It's ,like, all about net profits to the share holders , dude!

I'm NOT loving it!

The best burgers I ever ate were made on the flightline at  Decimomannu Air Base in Sardinia.

There was always a large detachment of US Airforce personnel stationed there and they opened this little shack on the Line selling the best fucking home made burgers grilled on a BBQ made from an Oil barrel cut in half.

It was run by the USAF flight line crew that were off that day and the queue was often so long that you're aircraft had landed and was midway through being serviced by the time you got served....!

Ahh the taste of those burgers...maybe it was because they used Fighter jet fuel as an ignition source for the charcoal!!

Peace....
