I love these guys.

The part around :35 or so where Fleck just shifts foot-to-foot kinda narrow-eyed staring at Wooten is funny, too :)

Not only is their music really unique and interesting, they're great fun live, bringing aspects of plain silly clownishness (like this clip) and totally off-beat approaches to making music (like this clip :P, and anything to do with Future Man) AND virtuoso performances.  Here's Vic Wooten playing a part of one of his solo bits:

Any of you guys who know stringed instruments knows just how hard it would be to do this, mixing straight fretted notes with natural harmonics, and he makes it seem like it's easier than breathing.

If anything, this one is even more impressive to me.  I swear, this guy plays like he has forty-two fingers.  And, still seems to come off as not particularly egotistical.  It's like the primary purpose of playing is because music is awesome, not because he's awesome at music, an attitude which I adore.

There's video floating around out there of Wooten and this fellow named Edgar Meyer, who is, if anything, perhaps a better bassist, at least on a double-bass.  I'd dig it up, but, you know, enough's enough.  I'll save it for later :D

Caesar dude

Thank you Banjo Dude. I enjoyed that. Who says bassists can't play music?

Peace dude.
Love is like a butterfly it goes where it pleases and it pleases where it goes. :)
