Wish I knew how to download bit torrents.

After what happened to my other notebook I am afraid to download anything from the net! 8(

weren't the guys that founded pirate bay arrested and the site was seized?

There was an attempt but you arrest one group of people and someone else starts it up again elsewhere (the nature of the Internet, see recent gov attempts to stop blogging in Egypt as an example).

You need a program. If you're using Windows i recommend uTorrent - great, with two buts:
- tries to install it's crap i.e. search bar for your internet browser etc, so you'll have to go through installation carefully and un-tick some stuff (loads of free software do it nowadays);
- doesn't have a built-in search engine, which means you have to look for torrents using your browser. Now - I do that and it's ok, you can find more results using whole of the internet opposite to only built in search, but if you're not sure what you're doing, especially if you're using IE, try finding something else. Also, I've been using Ubuntu's qBittorrent for some time now, so some things may have changed.

The bottom line is - you want to know something? Ask google

For torrents, a good source is http://btjunkie.org

Also, just be careful of all the bullshit scams out there, d/l legit torrents only. Never d/l torrents that have passwords to open the files, read community comments, check out how many people have verified the torrent.

I can't recall the exact link I used to get my TBL soundtrack (not entirely my scene) but it was from Mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/?atlzm23jynu

Try looking for shit in mediafire first: type in what you want to find then type mediafire.com
after it. Sometimes you'll have to refine things by doing this: Site: mediafire.com your search mediafire.com

I always click on the cached link first - just in case you're dealing with assholes. Have yet to get a duff file from them. Also (but not as much) http://www.4shared.com/

Awesome stuff, cake dude. Torrents are cool and with a little caution you can get your hands on very dude like stuff.
