FBI memo raises Barbie child pornography fears.

A memo to investigators warned that the Barbie Video Girl could be used for the "production and possession of child pornography". WTF?!!

An FBI spokeswoman said there had been no reported evidence that the doll, made by Mattell, had been used in any way other than intended.

Um I can see why they may be worried.

Another of my least favourite activities Child Beauty contests, the adult ones are dodgy meat markets as it is, how can people even think this is good for anyone under the age of eighteen?

That shit is pretty damn sick. The parents treat these little kids like they're fucking dolls to be put on display. The competition is intense and inappropriate for little girls.

Look at the picture you posted; she's probably all of 8  to 9 years old and forced to look like some damn 21 year old with an adult "glamor" hair style, makeup for an adult, lipstick, ear rings, and if she loses I'll bet there is hell to pay at home behind the scenes. Her smile even looks forced.

Imagine how that little girl feels if she loses? Really great for her self esteem. She is way too young to have to face that kind of shit.

I think the parents need to knock this shit off, these are little kids, not fucking adult "glamor queens."

The answer is simple; outlaw it (although I hate giving law makers the motivation to pass more and more laws), make illegal to enter a kid in any so-called "beauty pageant" until they are at least 16.

As for making it illegal I'd go after the organisers first make it illegal to run one of these. Problem is it'll probably go underground then.

Going after the organizers is a good idea; First offense; a nice strong fine for running an illegal child "beauty pageant." Second offense; jail time and a harsher fine.

I find the whole subject really very disturbing. As the article says the Pageants are just Pedophile wet dreams (literally).

Now I understand childhood was basically invented by the Victorians. Before that you didn't invest much emotionally in your kids until they had survived a few years and you thought they may stick around for a while and not die of some horrible disease, by which time they'd become useful enough to do stuff in the fields.

I think a lot of the reasons for the kiddie"beauty pageants" is the egos of the parents, especially the mothers who never grew out of playing with dolls. And what could be better than a living "doll" that can talk?

I've noticed that many of the women that force or coerce their daughters into this shit are basically homely broads who happen to have a pretty daughter. They have a low self esteem because of how they look, so they live out their fantasies of being pretty and sexy through their "pretty dolls."

It's sad, these little girls are put under abnormal and uncalled pressure just to fulfill the fantasies of their sick and immature mothers.

Yeah, no problem on a jail sentence for first offense.
