The Lennon

c.c.keiser and I are putting our heads together once again after our two month long hiatus. We will be editing the story and adding in new scenes.
Just as we have said in previous posts; If you have any ideas that you would like to share to add to the story, let us know and we'll discuss them and add them in.

We look forward to hearing your feedback.
Thanks

Far out, dude. Been outta the loop on the whole "Little Lebowski" thing going on, but will check it out.

Oh, ahhhhh, as long as it not on a league night.

The Lennon

Don't worry dude, you don't have to read it on a league night or Shabbas, your own leisure time is the best time.

Hey dude, was reading some lines from the Little Lebowski and thought I'd give you some notes. So far its looking far out and very interesting. I'm wondering if it could be made into a fan film? That would be a way cool urban achievement. Hey, if the Trekkies can do it, some dudes and dudettes should be able to achieve it.

All looks cool so far, mang. Far fucking out.

The Lennon

That very well may happen, all it would take is a couple of cameras, a goodwill store, some effects software, and to be in the LA area, and that is all possible for me in the near future.

Shit man, that's way cool. If it happens, keep us posted, man. I live in the L.A. area just a few miles from the Dude's pad.

The Lennon

I was in LA for about a month, it would have been cool to meet you in person while I was there. I just came back to Sacramento yesterday. But I'll be back in LA before long.

Far out, yeah, meeting would be cool. There are a few locations around town where I can show you. The places where they shot the movie...the dude's pad in Venice, the location where they toss Donny's ashes to the wind (look over Walter's shoulder, that's Catalina Island not from from me), and little Larry's pad (drive by a lot if I head for one of L.A. county's art museums - MOCA).

Abide, Lennon dude.

Just so dudes know

I happen to be a film maker and a writer, so if anyone is interested in making a movie similar to TBL, and has resources, I want in! I even have a bachelors degree in the damn business, even though it rarely does any good.

We could easilty whip up a script, finding investors is always the hard part.

Set design, location, and all the production jazz, is actually pretty simple.

I dunno. For what it's worth I'm interested.
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

I have pretty much lost interest in it myself.
Talk with the Lennon. Maybe the two of you can work something out?
Maybe you can take a look at the script so far and perhaps whip it into some kind of screen play shape?
But talk with the Lennon first.

According to TBL script http://www.script-o-rama.com/movie_scripts/b/big-lebowski-script-screenplay.html Walter tossed Donny's ashes at Point Dume:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Map+coordinates+for+Point+Dume+State+Beach,+Malibu,+CA&mrt=loc&sll=34.000749,-118.806453&sspn=0.004332,0.010568&ie=UTF8&ll=34.000642,-118.806453&spn=0.004554,0.010568&t=h&z=17

But from what  I can see on Google Maps Point Dume doesn't look at all like the place in the film.

The real place was only a few miles (4 or 5) from where I live. It was off a point on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. If you look over Walter's shoulder, you can clearly see Catalina Island, a view from what we call "Palos Verdes Drive South." Point Dume would be 60 or so miles North of there and I doubt that you could even see Catalina island from that location.

DB, you couldn't include a link to the actual point on google maps could you?

I just notice there's the little orange man and thought it would be good to "virtually" stand there and look round.

It was in La Jolla!
During Walter?s Eulogy to Donny he says ??and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California from La Jolla to Rio?? When Walter says La Jolla he points to the ocean in front of him indicating that is where they are. The topography looks right. I?m sure that is where they tossed Donny?s ashes. Now we just have to see if we can match the place in the film to a place on the map!

I used to know the exact point, it was listed on http://locationfreak.com/  ,but they are redoing that site. I'll look into it again, mang.
