Some people call it a mess, some people say it's clutter,I say that's just your opinion man.
If I hang something on the floor,it's so's I can find it again when I need it.
Shelves and cupboards are just so damn confusing.By the time I've finished opening all the doors,I've forgotten what the hell I was looking for.
If you believe you can tell me what to think.
I believe I can tell you where to go.

The main reason I own so little is because of laziness... which I am proud of.  I don't see the pint of having so much "stuff" anyway.  I think the Great Dude, George Carlin, said it best.  There are times I honestly don't even want the stuff I need or have now.  I hope this way of thinking sticks with me.

I used  to have zero stuff, then that got better, but then last few years I have some how gotten a shit load. Now most aint even my stuff, people die, or move away, an being their Dude friend, I end up with it, now I have a small warehouse full of crap to go through.

Having little stuff is definintly the way to go for me, much easier to move around for one thing. Also these days when I finish a book or something I don't really feel like I gotta hang onto it or anything, its more satisfying to pass it on in the knowledge that someone else might get some enjoyment out of it.

What did a wise dude once say? ...........

"Posses possessions, possessed."

Disclaimer: That does not, by the way, include my wide screen 50 inch LCD Sony Aquos TV, sound system, viewing room, or my prized collection of TBL DVDs included the most recent special edition.  ;D Those do not count.

Cheers for the welcomes dudes! Skipping down to the south of Ireland soon to a place called Kerry for a month . Full of forests, mountains, loads of wildlife...a ridiculous amount of tasty mushrooms also grow there in the right season...so many you couldn't possibly stop them no matter how much of a fascist you were...great place for a simple kind of man to meet like- minded dudes  :D

Sounds grand, been to Eire a few times (my Mother was Irish - still family there) but have never really traveled around, at all (just Carrigallen in Co. Lietrim). Sounds as if you are gonna have a very Dudely time.  ;D

From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever. http://storyofstuff.org

And, for all you fact checkers out there, http://www.storyofstuff.org/2011/03/14/story-of-stuff/
