Center for Science in the Public Interest is attacking Happy Meals for putting kids toys in them as an incentive.  On the one hand, I understand that advertising to kids is tricky; on the other hand, its a HAPPY Meal.   It should be a happy even when you get one.  I posted a news video on my blog. http://www.churlygirl.com/1/post/2010/06/happy-meal-tasty-treat-or-predatory-practice.html  This attack seems misguided.  The food needs improving, but don't go after the toys.

Yeah well, that's just like uh, your opinion man. I saw Super-Size Me.
It's like selling poison and then having a toy with it so that kids will buy it. They should improve the food first for sure, but the fact that it is REALLY bad food and people (especially kids) shouldn't be eating it should mean
something you know?
And as far as parents taking control of their kids, did anyone stop to think about the kids in the first place? People these days are so media brain washed, especially impressionable children who see it on their favorite  cartoon stations and are brainwashed into wanting the toys and the meal "Oh Shrek I like Shrek, ooh a Shrek toy I want that! Mommy take me to Mc Donalds!" Without the incentive on TV about the toys kids wouldn't bug their parents, which would save the parents grief and save the child because let's face it, nobody likes to be told "No you can't have that".

My name is Lennon and I have been Mc Donalds free since 2003.
To be dude is both a philosophy and a way of life.

I don't actually eat in MacDonalds at all, I eat at Burger King if anything.

If people don't buy it then they won't sell it.

I am a bon vivant I take responsibility for my life, what I eat, what I drink (from the point of view of actually enjoying myself), if I have children it's my responsibility where I take them to eat.

Dudes, I saw your discussion, and I want to say I am 100% with you, and I hope you don't make my mistake. What happened to Morgan Spurlock happened to me! Only I didn't realize it until it was too late and the damage was done. I literally had a pickled liver from unhealthy eating, juandice and hepatitis like symptoms and was in a hospital for two weeks because of the high fat high salt diet I was living on. Your bodies receptors for water thirst die, and are replaced with a thirst for salt, because it literally alters your mind, and fucking KILLS YOU.
All that food is, is a chemical weapon against the masses, and if you have a high enough metabolism, you're lucky that it only effects your organs and brain functions instead of your waist line.

After successfully avoiding fast food for almost two years, my new girlfriend started to introduce me back to it (love makes you do crazy things, and not paying attention to what you eat was one for me), and after only a FEW tours through McDonalds I was feeling sick, gained weight, and had been depressed.

I'm not making a good effort to avoid fast food altogether, and I'm also trying to avoid GMO foods too.

Monsanto is a corporaation that basically is trying to take over the world with food, and I am an advocate against them.

There are a lot of good documentaries about how important food is to our bodies and minds, and I for one, believe that your personal diet is VITAL to how you live.

You are what you eat.
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

You are what you eat.

Does that mean cannibals are other people?

Especially, and specifically.

And since people are a mixture of flesh, blood, and bone; emotions, madness, and natural born instincts with a dash of conciousness and free will...It's basically a recipe for destruction, considering the multiplier effect. After all, we can barely handle our own human delima, while juggling that of our families...Imagine if you consumed the fires of all those around you...You yourself would eventually cease to exist amid the chaos and confusion of what you've become...

You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

Well you know, Happy for who? If the parents are doing their job a McDonald's Happy Meal should be out of the question. Surely we have enough information already to know that it is slow bloody poison. Happy for the people who make the toys - for the one pocketing the cash, yeah . . what about the slaves? The (quite probably) toxic effect on the environment whilst producing the damn things (not to mention the fact that it is yet more non-biodegradable crap); the environmental transport costs . . the non-stop (as Lennon pointed out) commercial psychic attack on the minds of our children, what about the rainforest clearance for cattle pasture? Happy for who, Dude? The aggression comes from the burger vendors: our minds, our health, OUR environment, our future. It is a targeted perpetual psychic storm of aggressive consumerism that is the enemy, here. Dudeism is an answer (among many) . . what better way to counter this aggression than to simply not buy in to it? Not to join in. Abide.

Dudes, the answer, IMHO, is simple; In and Out Burgers, those are good burgers, dudes. Fuck the rest.
