Title: Update to: Strikes and Gutters
Post by: iAbide81 on March 20, 2022, 02:17:52 AM
I wanted to update on my post from March 2017.

I left my job at the call center before they completely closed in May 2017. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I've been on a few different medications and I've found something that works (for now) but over time (and especially with Covid-19 lockdowns), I developed agoraphobia, to the point where I wouldn't leave my apartment unless it was absolutely necessary. I would have severe panic attacks. I've been getting better but I'm not back to work yet. I'm thankfully that my husband makes enough to support the two of us AND keep our savings growing.

I mentioned in my previous post also that my grandpa had been put in a nursing home. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He endured through it all, and I kept up with him through phone calls when I couldn't visit him. Sadly, he passed away last year.

Overall, it HAS been a series of strikes and gutters. That analogy makes sense.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties.
Glad you found your way to Dudeism.
As quiet as it is here, nothing can stop the power of Abidance and the mighty "fuck it".

Fuck it!  You can't be worrying about that shit.
Life goes on!
When life pisses on your rug, fuck it, take any rug in the house.
